The Dachshund 

Miniature Dachshunds are low to the ground, long in body and short of leg with robust muscular development. The Dachshund is well balanced with bold and confident head carriage and intelligent, alert facial expression. They are a lively and courageous breed available in three coats; longhaired, wirehaired and shorthaired also called smooth. Mini Dachshunds make a wonderful pet/companion, hunting dog, therapy dog, watch dog or show dog. They are available in a great variety of colors and patterns - one to surely please everyone. A long dog is happy taking a long walk or a long nap! They bring a smile to everyone they meet!
